Domek z Kart / House of Cards is a project that won the FutuWro competition. It constitutes part of a bigger undertaking that concerns the possibility of living a modern life in houses that are made of paper components in more than 70%.
The construction of House of Cards is based on the FLe2XARD system, which was devised over the course of several-year research conducted by Wrocław University of Technology, Delft University of Technology and Kyoto University of Art and Design. House of Cards is the prototype of the smallest unit of the FLe2XARD system.
The prototype was prepared during the Summer School of Architecture – Living Unit 2016, which was held in Wrocław in August 2016, and later presented in Solny Square in Wrocław. After the presentation, it was transferred to the campus of the Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Technology in order to carry out further tests and observation.
