Debate Rebuilding and strengthening the character of selected parts of the city


The debate concerned architecture, urban planning and aesthetics, and focused on beauty and the character of the city, i.e. subjects that are described in vol. 3 of our series of publications (Cities of Beauty and Character, edited by Izabela Gajny).

The subjects raised during the event were prepared by Izabela Gajny. The discussion was co-moderated by Aleksandra Zienkiewicz of the Society for the Beautification of Wrocław and City Action.

The invited guests included: Dr Izabela Mironowicz of the Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Technology and the Society for the Beautification of Wrocław; Professor Rafał Eysymontt of the Faculty of Art History of Wrocław University; and Michał Zabdyr-Jamróz of the Institute of Public Health of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, who is also the author of one of the texts in vol. 1 (“Cities in the New Middle Ages”) of our publication series.
